Potential heavy rain in the Lakes Region has prompted the National Weather Service to posts watches for Wednesday and parts of Thursday.
The Missouri Lakes Region including the Branson Area is under a Flash Flood Watch with numerous thunderstorms moving through the same region could cause a rapid rise in water levels. The Lakes Region counties of Barry, Ozark, Stone, and Taney Counties are under this watch with anywhere from 2 to 4 inches of rain expected.
Meanwhile Northwest Arkansas including Carroll and Madison Counties are under a Flood Watch with the potential of 1-3 inches of rain expected. The Weather Service says localized Flash Flooding is a possible in some areas.
The Weather Service also says there is a chance of some Isolated Severe Thunderstorms on Wednesday afternoon.
