A special bus is unveiled by the Harrison School District designed to bring educational opportunities to students during the summer.
Developed out of a discussion on how to get to kids during the COVID-19 Pandemic, the “GOBSmobile” contains activities that will be available to students during the summer months plus books that can be checked out. The bus will be out on Tuesdays and Thursdays during the summer, including at the Middle School both days in conjunction with the Free and Reduced Lunch Program.
The bus was renovated by personnel from the District’s Transportation Department with Kastle Graphics providing the wrap and Mad Max Welding supplying the grill for the front of the bus. The project was also supported in part by the Harrison School Foundation.
Complete coverage of the Ribbon Cutting plus a Video Tour of the Bus was a part of KHOZ’s “Around the Table” program and can be found along with more photos on the Around the Table Facebook Page.
