As Blood Transfusion Rates continue to rise in area Hospitals, the need for blood remains high even as donations slowly rebound after the challenges of the COVID-19 Pandemic.
Chris Pilgrim, Media Relations Representative for the CBCO, says that O Negative Blood has been particular hit hard by the 16% increase in blood transfusions in the region.
A Blood Drive will be held in the Lakes Region Thursday April 29 at Galena High School with Aurora, Berryville, Branson, Eureka Springs, Green Forest, Harrison, Hurley, Kimberling City, Nixa, and Ozark among the area communities scheduled to host Blood Drives in May.
