Two rounds of Thunderstorms moved through the Lakes Region on Friday and while little damage has been reported, weather observers did note some extreme conditions.
Fire Department personnel in Eureka Springs reports to the National Weather Service that a wind gust of 60 MPH was recorded when the first wave of thunderstorms moved through the area mid to late afternoon with significant hail reported in rural areas of Madison County as well as by a trained spotter northwest of Harrison. Several reports of hail were noted near Purdy in Barry County.
Later, heavy rain pelted the area with a report of a 52 MPH Wind Gust near Branson West which weather observers think may have been caused by a wake low.
A breezy, cool day is in the forecast for Saturday with some lingering rain before sunny and warmer conditions return on Sunday.
