Harrison Police Talk Drone Use, Other Programs

by: JonChristopher Collins

Harrison Police Department Lieutenant Michael Toland said the usage of drones is increasing. They are used for search and rescue as well as surveillance. He also discussed upcoming events.

“Our community donated money for us to get it [the new drone],” Toland said.

On April 15 at 6 p.m. Toland said a class will be held at the Presbyterian church to inform parents on children sexting. “We just get the information out to parents,” he said. Toland added that TikTok and SnapChat are the two prominent apps of concern that are used.

The drug take back event will take place this month.

Toland was interviewed on “Around The Table” on KHOZ Friday. The entire interview is online on the Around The Table Facebook Page.
