The voters of the Reeds Spring School District pass a Tax Levy Increase that will help develop services in several areas including early Childhood Development, Technical Training for Students, and also making salaries competitive for teachers and staff. The issues passed by a 58 to 42% margin according to the unofficial results from the Stone County Clerk’s Office.
Among the other Election Highlights from Stone County:
-Lisa Boyd and Joelene Powell are elected to the Reeds Spring Board of Education.
-The Blue Eye School District elects Daphne Jones and Joe Feagans to its Board.
-The City of Galena passes a 1% Sales Tax for Law Enforcement while repealing the Personal Property Tax.
-The Village of McCord Bend passes a 2.5% Sales Tax and an Internet Use/Vendor Tax.
