Below freezing temperatures are possible in the Lakes Region overnight prompting the National Weather Service to issue a Freeze Warning for southern Missouri and north central Arkansas while a Freeze Watch is issued for north central Arkansas tonight into early Thursday morning.
Forecasters are expecting temperatures to dip anywhere from 25-30 degrees which could threaten early blooming crops and sensitive vegetation and could damage some outdoor plumbing that has been uncovered for the spring season.
The Freeze Warning includes the Branson area and all of the Missouri Lakes Region as well as Eureka Springs and other surrounding areas in Arkansas while the Freeze Watch includes the Harrison and surrounding areas.
Another night of near freezing temperatures is possible Thursday night before temperatures begin a rebound over Easter Weekend.
