What began a few years ago as the “Stone and Taney County Poverty Initiative” has transitioned into an organization that will advance the plans developed by the initiative to move people out of poverty.
Tim Huddleston, hired in February as the first Executive Director of “Ozark Mountain Country Cares” (OMC Cares) Organization, says during an interview this week on KRZK’s “Ozarks Now” program that one of his jobs will be to bring together resources already available in the area to address the issues.
Huddleston also says the group will divide up the five challenges the group identified in leading families and individuals out of poverty among a group of people to work on those issues.
