A couple of area roadways are scheduled to be closed today for construction.
The twice delayed closure of the ramp from Highway 76/Main Street to southbound 65 in Branson is scheduled to begin today while work continues on the Bridge Project on Highway 65 over Lake Taneycomo near the ramp. Motorist will be detoured onto northbound Highway 65 to the Highway 248 exit then rerouted back southbound.
Meanwhile, the National Park Service reports a road at the Buffalo National River in Newton County will begin a closure period today. According to the release posted by KTLO, Newton County workers will perform road construction on 1.8 miles of Cave Mountain Road. The zone will start at Arkansas Highway 21, and the closure will be in effect Mondays through Thursdays from 7:30 to 5. The road will remain open on evenings and weekends. Construction is estimated to be completed on April 9.
