A recap of results from both Arkansas and Missouri:
Regional Tournament got underway on Wednesday.
In 4A Tournament at Ozark, the Berryville Lady Bobcats were knocked out by Morrilton 58-33 while in the 3A Tournament at Bergman, the host school won both of their games as the Lady Panthers ran by Charleston 69-34 while the Panthers defeated Booneville 89-69. The Green Forest Boys were eliminated from the tournament by Waldron 68-41.
In the 1A Tournament at Lead Hill, both area teams won in girls action with the host Lady Tigers defeating St. Paul 40-25 while Kingston won over Ozark Catholic 76-38. On the boys side, Kingston loses to New School 61-35 while Western Grove notches a win over NW Arkansas Academy 68-30.
Today’s action will include the Harrison Lady Goblins game at Ozark in their 4A Regional Opener that can be heard on 94.9 KHOZ.
The Blue Eye Lady Bulldogs survive their Class 2 Sectional Game at Greenfield rallying for a 42-38 win sending them to the Quarterfinal Round for the third time in four years, where this year they will play at Richland. Game will be on Saturday afternoon.
In Class 4 Boys District Action, top seeded Hollister rolled by Mtn. View-Liberty 81-55 sending them to Friday’s Championship Game in Mountain Grove against Ava, who beat Willow Springs 66-50 in Wednesday’s other semi-final. In another Class 4 District, Reeds Spring was defeated by Mount Vernon 48-36.
Nixa wins the Class 6 Boys District Championship 67-49 over Ozark. Those same schools will play for the Girls District Title tonight.
Among other games tonight, the Class 4 Girls District Final will be decided in Mountain Grove with Forsyth taking on Ava at 6:00 in a game that can be heard on 981 KCAX.
