Upsets ruled the day in the Class 4 Girls District Semi-finals as both of the top seeds go down to defeat.
The Ava Lady Bears get hot from the field at the same time the top seeded Hollister Lady Tigers went cold, closing the game out on a 27-10 run to gain the win 51-44 and to advance to Thursday’s Championship Game in Mountain Grove against Forsyth. The Lady Panthers also pulled off an upset knocking off second seed Willow Springs 61-53.
In another Class 4 District, the Reeds Spring Lady Wolves season ends at Seneca with a 44-33 loss while Cassville advances to Thursday’s semi-final at Mount Vernon with a 32-23 win at East Newton.
In Class 6, Nixa eliminates the Branson Lady Pirates in the District semi-final 77-34.
In the Class 2 State Tournament, Crane knocks off College Heights 74-59 in the Boys Sectional at Carthage to advance to the State Quarterfinals Friday against Norwood.
