The Superintendent of Forsyth Schools Jeff Mingus says the change this year to a four day school week has been a boost for Faculty, Staff, and Students.
Mingus, during an interview last week on KRZK’s “Ozarks Now” Program says the Tuesday thru Friday School Week has given people a chance to take care of appointments and other things that are done on weekdays. Mingus also notes that attendance percentages are better and a reduction of discipline issues in the schools. In addition, due to the recent winter weather that caused several missed days, the schedule has built in Monday make-up days that combined with a few days of virtual learning has allowed the school district to stay on the same calendar and not have to change the end of the school year and graduation.
The complete interview with Jeff Mingus can be found on the Ozarks Now Facebook Page.
