Search Continues for Suspect in Stone County Shooting

The Stone County Sheriff’s Office is still searching for a suspect in a shooting that happened last Saturday near Shell Knob.

According to a post on the Departments Facebook Page, a man from Springfield told authorities that he had been shot at a residence on H Highway by a person later identified as 35-year-old Anthony Sandridge also of Springfield.

Sandridge has an outstanding warrant out of Barry County and is also facing charges in the Saturday Shooting.

Authorities believe Sandridge is in the Springfield area possibly driving a stolen four-door silver car.

People with information on Sandridge are ask to contact the Stone County Sheriff’s office or Local Law Enforcement.

On 02-13-2021, Stone County emergency dispatch received information about a shooting that occurred on West H Highway in the Shell Knob area. A 35-year-old male from Springfield reported that he had been shot in the neck. The victim was not cooperative with information regarding the shooting and met the ambulance at H highway and 39.
Detectives with the Stone County Sheriffs Office conducted an investigation and located the residence where the shooting occurred.
A search warrant was served at 3117 Highway West Highway H, Shell Knob. A witness at the scene advised the suspect fled the scene right after the shooting took place. Detectives investigated the scene and collected evidence.
The suspect was identified as Anthony “Tony” Sandridge of 35 years of age out of Springfield MO. Sandridge has a warrant out of Barry County. Charges will be presented to the Prosecutor today for his involvement in the shooting.
Sandridge is believed to be in the Springfield area. If you know his whereabouts please contact the Stone County Sheriffs Office or your local Law Enforcement agency. He is driving a possibly stolen 4 door silver car.
The victim is in stable condition and is expected to recover from his injuries.
