White River Valley Electric officials tell Ozarks First that demand on the system caused a fuse to blow at a Substation at Stonebridge that caused thousands of people to lose power this morning. Power was restored to most customers by 3:00 this afternoon.
Earlier today, some power outages were also reported by Entergy in Arkansas as around 350 people were with out power for a time in Baxter, Boone, and Marion Counties.
Some areas of the Lakes Region are experiencing some Power Outages this afternoon on top of the Snowy and Windy Conditions that are persisting.
Liberty Utility customers in the Kirbyville area are still reported without power as of 1:00 this afternoon while some White River Customers in the Rockaway Beach area in Taney County as well as areas in South Central Stone County also are reported without power.
Scattered outages in the region have been reported due to the extreme winter conditions continuing in the Lakes Region.
