A Marion County woman, 31-year-old Megan Warnock of Yellville, has been arrested and charged following a reported stabbing incident.
According to the probable cause affidavit released last week, the incident occurred on Dec. 27 at a residence along Bumpy Lane south of Yellville.
Law enforcement made contact with Warnock upon arrival at the scene of the dispute. She reported having come to the home of a male acquaintance, whom she had been dating. When she went to unlock the front door, she observed a female she later identified running naked out the back door.
Warnock said the homeowner grabbed her by the shoulders and began shaking her.
Warnock said the female who had exited the residence returned, grabbed a metal object and struck her. Warnock said she was able to block the object and swung at the other woman with both hands. The male then reportedly struck Warnock in the back of the head.
Warnock said she grabbed a knife in the kitchen and warned her two assailants to stay away.
She said the male attacked her again, taking her to the floor and began hitting her. She said she defended herself with the knife, striking the man at least twice.
Warnock said her male acquaintance left to take the other woman home.
Deputies traveled to the home of the other female, who told them she had been at the man’s home at his invitation.
She said when Warnock arrived, the male homeowner asked her to go to the back porch. She said while outside, she heard someone running around the back of the house, leading her to go back inside and attempt to lock the door.
She said when she went to retrieve her purse, Warnock jumped on top of her and began punching her in the face.
The male responded to her screams for help, leading to his struggle with Warnock and the reported stabbing. She said the male was “bleeding pretty bad from his arm,” when he took her home.
She described the knife as approximately 10 inches long
Warnock has been charged with a felony count of aggravated assault. She is free on bond.
No other details were provided on the extent of the man’s injuries.
