H.S. Basketball: Branson, Harrison Split Games on the Road

Friday sees both Branson and Harrison splitting games on the road.

For Branson, the win came in a shootout at Webb City as the Pirates, who trailed much of the first half, surged ahead in the second half, then held on at the end for a 77-73 win over the Cardinals. The Pirate duo of Kyle Scharbrough and Ethan Jones out-scored Webb City’s Nickhai Howard and Cohl Vaden in the game, with the Branson duo scored 37 and 28 points respectively compared to their opponents totals of 26 and 20 points respectively. The Pirates have now won four out of their last six games. Meanwhile, after a good start, the the Branson Lady Pirates gave up a 39-12 run over the second and third quarters as Webb City prevailed 63-35.

Meanwhile, Harrison takes the Girls contest at Berryville posting a 51-43 win with Alex Hill, despite some struggles at the free throw line scoring 17 points to lead the Lady Goblins who remain undefeated for the season. In the Boys Game, another close lose for the Goblins as the Conference Leading Bobcats hold off a late charge to hold on for a 56-53 win.
