At a Special Meeting of the Harrison City Council Thursday night, a Resolution was presented that allows for three parts of the new Public Safety Building to go forward.
The add on costs are for a Sally Port to aid in Prisoner Transfers from a Patrol Vehicle to the Police Department, a fifth bay for the Fire Department, and a Lightning Surge Protection System to protect the Electronics in the Building.
The Resolution was needed to help lock in material costs for those items which are expected to go up over the next few months.
The Resolution was approved by the City Council which will increase the total cost of the project 2.65% to around now $8.6 million.
