Friday marked the last day on the job for Western Taney County Fire Protection District Assistant Chief Jim Single with his retirement after 18 years on the job.
According to a post on the WTCFPD Facebook page, Chief Single headed up the Prevention Division for the District which included educating thousands of children on Fire Safety and working with businesses on complying with Safety Codes. Chief Single also responded to over 4000 calls for service during his time with the District.
