Saturday Recap: COC Wrestling, Basketball Tournaments

In Sports Action involving area programs:

COC Wrestling at Republic
Neosho claims the Team Tournament Title with four Branson Wrestlers getting top four finishes. Both Kyshin Isringhausen at 126 and Sam Wood at 285 finished second in their Weight Divisions while TJ Storment grabbed third at 138 and Cade Grimm took fourth place at 170.

Basketball Tournaments
Hollister dropped its second game of the year to Strafford. After the Tigers lost to the Indians in the Forsyth Tournament Championship in December, Strafford does it again, this time in the Conway Tournament Final with a 64-50 win.

At the Bolivar Tournament, the Branson Pirates avenge a regular season loss to Hillcrest, holding off the Hornets 66-64 in the Consolation Final.

At the Sparta Tournament, Gainesville holds off Fair Grove 59-51 for the Championship with Forsyth taking third over Mansfield 62-52 in the Panthers second victory over the Lions this season. For fifth, it was Sparta over New Covenant 41-31 while Bradleyville defeated Riverview for seventh 85-76.

Forsyth claims the Championship at the Mansfield Girls Tournament as they defeat Springfield Catholic 77-67. For the Lady Panthers, its their second straight tournament title in two weeks after winning the tournament at Galena last weekend.
