The Branson Fire Department was recognized by the Board of Aldermen on Tuesday. Special recognition was given by Alderman Bill Skains.
“It is my privilege to announce that the City of Branson Service for Excellent Employee of the Month award for January 2021 is going to Branson Fire Rescue Station One,” Alderman Skains said.
The team that was recognized aided a Branson resident in a non-emergency situation. “After responding these men took the time to visit with the woman and assess her overall situation.” Skains also said the crew called a chaplain to visit with the woman. He added that they disassembled and reassembled a hospice hospital bed that was not in good condition or location. They also rearranged furniture for the woman to make sure she was as comfortable as possible.
“This act of service is well beyond their job description,” Skains said.
