High School Basketball Friday night included a tough loss for the Branson Pirates on Senior Night as their rally against West Plains fell short, losing to the Zizzers 62-51. The Pirates fell behind by as many as 14 points but did get the offense going late at one time cutting the lead to five before West Plains held on for the win. Ethan Jones led three Pirates in double figures with 16 points.
In other action, Strafford held off Hollister 39-36 in the semi-finals of the Rogersville Tournament while at the Semi-finals of the Galena Tournament, it was Forsyth defeating Reeds Spring 70-35.
In Arkansas, its another one point win for the Harrison Lady Goblins as they take 47-46 win at Gravette. The Lady Goblins found themselves down much of the game only to surge ahead in the final minutes by six. The Lady Lions did make a late surge including hitting a three with a second left which resulted in the final one point margin. Alex Hill scored 24 points to lead Harrison, who stays undefeated for the season. In the Boys Contest at Gravette, the Lions hold off the Goblins 71-64.
