The Hollister Tigers season has been special with only three losses on the season, though two of those have been to teams they beat earlier this season.
After the Reeds Spring Wolves avenged a loss in December to Hollister in the Forsyth Tournament last Friday, it was Forsyth themselves that avenged their loss to the Tigers in the Finals of the Walnut Grove Tournament in December by rallying from a 14 point second half deficit to down the Tigers in Hollister 61-59.
For much of the game, the Tigers kept pulling away only to see the Panthers stay close. In the fourth quarter, the Panthers surged back on a combination of good outside shooting and some Hollister miscues before surging ahead by seven then holding off a late Tiger surge to hold on.
Gavin Lux of Forsyth and Josh Barlow of Hollister each had 21 points to lead their teams.
In other action Tuesday, Reeds Spring grabs a win in their opening game of the Spokane Tournament 62-57 over Southwest.
The Harrison Teams get a split at Shiloh Christian with the Lady Goblins pulling out a 44-43 win to remain undefeated while the Goblins fall 63-58.
