A name has been added to the Candidate List for the April Municipal Election in the City of Branson.
Rod Romine signed up as a candidate for the Ward 1 Alderman Seat currently held by Bob Simmons, who has yet to file to run for reelection. Romine is the first person to sign up in that race.
Current Mayor Edd Akers will be challenged by former Mayor Karen Best and current Branson Planning Commission Member Marshall Howeden in his bid for reelection while Juila King will be challenged for her Ward 3 seat by Richard Allan Banks. Current Ward 2 Alderman Larry Milton has also signed-up for another term in that seat.
The sign-up period to get on the ballot for the April Municipal Election is January 19.
