Harrison Man Dies of Injuries Suffered In Traffic Crash Last Weekend

A Harrison man was killed after jumping from his vehicle last weekend when his brakes failed. According to the Arkansas State Police, 40-year-old Travis Flippo was pronounced dead at Cox Medical Center South in Springfield.

The Harrison Police Department reports Flippo was traveling on Younes Drive in Harrison. He was reportedly attempting to reduce his speed and realizing his brakes were failing. Flippo jumped out of his vehicle, resulting in injuries he would later succumb to. His vehicle continued, striking two trees and two fence t-posts.

The accident occurred on Sunday January 3 around 2:25 pm.
