Lakes Area Health Departments are preparing for the arrival of COVID-19 Vaccines and also for the plan to administer those shots.
Stone County Health Department Director Pam Burnett on the latest “At Your Service” Podcast says that they have placed an order for the vaccine and that their department will be a part of the “Phase 1B” Vaccination Plan which include High Risk Individuals as well as Essential Workers and First Responders. Burnett also says the Health Department will post information on when pre-registration will begin for those shots. Currently, Missouri is in “Phase 1A” with Front Line Health Care Workers and people living and Working in Long Term Care Facilities are getting vaccinated.
Meanwhile, in a recent Facebook Video, Taney County Health Department Director Lisa Marshall says their department is in a similar situation as they are awaiting vaccines they have ordered and also will be doing a pre-registration plan when they are permitted to begin administering the vaccine.
