A mix of Rain and Winter Precipitation will take place in the Lakes Region during the final days of 2020.
Rain will linger in parts of the region today with a round of heavier and steady rainfall in the forecast for Wednesday with a potential one to two inches of rain is some parts of the region. Localized flooding cannot be ruled out for the Lakes Region on Wednesday.
Temperatures are expected to drop below freezing Wednesday night into Thursday with a mixture of Sleet, Freezing Rain, and Snow possible. While Thursday’s precipitation is expected to transition to all rain by the afternoon, some travel hazards Thursday morning is possible.
National Weather Service Forecasters says the types and timing of the precipitation could vary depending on the tract of the system moving through the area.
