Holiday Tournament Updates From Blue and Gold, Pink and White, Walnut Grove

Several Lakes Area Teams were in action at Holiday Tournaments on Monday with more action coming up today:

Girls Games
In a match-up of State Ranked Teams in the semi-finals of the Walnut Grove Tournament, Class 3 Number 10 Miller defeats Class 4 Number 4 Hollister 50-48 to give the Lady Tigers their first loss of the season. Hollister will play for third place on Thursday against Ash Grove. Also at Walnut Grove, Galena beats Mack’s Creek in a Consolation Game 39-32.

At the Pink and White Lady Classic at Springfield Kickapoo, Blue Eye, one of the Number 4 Seeds in the Pink Division, holds off Parkview 65-49 to earn a match-up with one of the tournament’s Number 1 Seeds, Nixa this afternoon at 4:30. Meanwhile, Branson stayed close but eventually drops a 51-37 contest to Carthage in their opening round game. Branson plays Buffalo in a consolation game this afternoon at 2:30. Both the Blue Eye and Branson Games can be heard today on 981 FM KCAX.

Boys Games
Branson pulls away in the second half of their Blue Division consolation came against Purdy 64-41 at the Blue and Gold Tournament to earn a consolation match-up Wednesday against Buffalo at Greenwood. Meanwhile Reeds Spring drops an 80-36 decision to Gold Division Number 1 Seed Greenwood in their opening round game Monday at JQH Arena. Reeds Spring plays this morning at 10:00 am against Spokane in a consolation game at Greenwood.

At the Walnut Grove Tournament, both Hollister and Forsyth will play in the Walnut Grove Tournament Semi-finals with the Tigers playing Conway at 5:00 and the Panthers taking on Billings at 7:00.
