Two Lakes Area Residents in Serious Conditions After Friday Traffic Crashes

Two Lakes Area Residents sustain serious injuries after traffic crashes on Friday.

A crash near the Missouri-Kansas Boarder late Friday afternoon injures a man from Arkansas. The Missouri State Highway Patrol accident report indicates a Jeep driven by Richard Crain of Omaha crossed the center line of a highway in Barton County and struck another vehicle nearly head-on. Crain was taken to VIA Christa Hospital in Pittsburg, Kansas for treatment. The driver of the other vehicle escaped with only minor injuries.

Meanwhile, a man from Forsyth sustains serious injuries in a crash on Bass Hollow Road in Stone County. The crash occurred Friday evening around 8:30 as the car driven by 32-year-old Daniel Ziegler ran off the roadway into a ditch striking a culvert before overturning eventually resting back on its wheels. Ziegler was taken to Cox South Hospital in Springfield for treatment.
