An area in Northwest Arkansas could see up to six inches of snow leading the National Weather Service to upgrade the Winter Weather Advisory to a Winter Storm Warning for areas around Berryville and Harrison.
The area of the Winter Storm Warning includes all of Boone and Carroll Counties as well as Madison and Newton Counties and all the way to the Fayetteville/Springdale areas. The majority of the snowfall will remain on grassy surfaces but could cause slushy road conditions with the heavier snowfall while below freezing temperatures overnight tonight could see some slick spots develop.
Meanwhile the rest of Northern Arkansas including Marion and Searcy Counties remain under a Winter Weather Advisory for today with slightly less snowfall expected.
In Missouri, the Lakes Region including the Branson Area remains under a Winter Weather Advisory which includes both Stone and Taney Counties as well as Barry, Christian, and Ozark Counties and does also include the metro Springfield area. Anywhere from a dusting to four inches of snow can be expected in the region.
