The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the Lakes Region on Sunday.
Forecasters are calling for snowfall amounts anywhere from a dusting to possible three inches in some area, mostly on grassy surfaces. While no widespread road impacts are expected, some roads could get slushy during some of the heavier snow bands.
The Winter Weather Advisory for the Missouri Lakes Region including Taney, Stone, and Barry Counties will be in effect from 6:00 am to 9 pm while the Advisory for extreme Northwest Arkansas including Carroll and Madison Counties goes from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm while the North Central Arkansas Counties of Boone, Marion, Newton, and Searcy will be in effect from 9 am to Midnight.
While snowfall is expected to end Sunday evening, temperatures will be below freezing overnight into Monday morning which may cause slick spots on some roadways.
