The Branson Pirates win their home opening Basketball Game Friday night as they pull away from Springfield Central 74-52.
It was a game of runs as the team went back and forth before Central used a 12-2 run to notch a one point halftime lead. The Pirates though answered with a 17-2 third quarter run and though the Bulldogs tried to get back in it the whole second half, Branson’s lead was never below double digits after the run. Kade Goodwin led four Pirates in double figures with 20 points with Kyle Scharbrough, Ethan Jones, and Pilot Ascone each scoring 19, 16, and 11 respectively. The Pirates go to 2-2 after the win.
Meanwhile in other action, Hollister gets by Blue Eye 62-30, Pleasant Hope edges Forsyth 49-42, and Clever rallies by Reeds Spring 55-46.
