The traditional Holiday Basketball Tournaments in Springfield will take place but with different formats and schedules this year to make adjustments for the COVID-19 Pandemic.
Greenwood Blue and Gold Tournament
The host Blue Jays and Hartville, defending champions from the 2019 Tournament and the past two Class 2 State Champions are the top seeds in each Division. Greenwood has drawn a Lakes Area Team, Reeds Spring, as there first round opponent in the Gold Division. One Lakes Area School did get seeded in the Gold Division with Crane seeded seventh and playing Willow Springs in the opening round. Branson will match-up with Blue Division fourth seed Skyline in the opening round. First round games will be split up between JQH Arena and the Hammons Student Center on the Missouri State Campus on Saturday December 26th and Monday December 28th with the tournament to conclude on December 31. Pink and White Lady Classic
With the normal home for this tournament, Drury University, not allowing fans on campus for any of their events, this tournament will have games played at all five Springfield Public School Gyms. Both the Pink and White Divisions have been split into two quadrants with Springfield Schools Kickapoo and Central being top seeds in the Pink, Nixa and West Plains in the White. Both Lakes Area Schools in the Field, Blue Eye and Branson, are in the same part of the White Bracket with the Lady Bulldogs earning a fourth seed and matching up Parkview while the Lady Pirates will match-up with second seed Carthage.
