The President and CEO of CoxHealth says in a Social Media Post that CoxHealth Employees could have the Moderna Vaccine for COVID-19 possibly as early as December 21.
Steve Edwards says in a Twitter post that patient facing employees would be first to have the vaccine if wanted.
Edwards says in a later tweet that the vaccine may arrive a week later than the Pfizer vaccine, but it doesn’t require ultra cold storage, -94. Moderna requires a booster on Day 28 and Edwards says that the state’s strategy is to have only one vaccine type at each hospital, to reduce errors related to boosters.
