While COVID-19 has cancelled several Holiday Events, there are going to be several Christmas Celebrations that will take place in the Lakes Region this weekend.
One of the celebrations is happening tonight as the Eureka Springs Chamber of Commerce will host “A Twist on Tradition: Giving Back Stationary Christmas Parade” with Holiday Floats and Displays available for Drive-Thru viewing with several Not-For Profit Organizations set-up along the route with opportunities for donations. Click here for more information from the Eureka Springs Facebook Page.
Another annual event getting a COVID Makeover this year is the annual Santa Train in Downtown Hollister coming up Sunday which will be a Drive-Thru Event. Entertainment will be provided by the Premiere Dance Academy elves and the Hollister High School band. Popcorn, drinks, cookies, and gift bags will be handed out as cars progress through the line. Additionally, children will be given a letter to fill out for Santa’s mailbox. Santa himself will be at the end of the line waving to cars. More information on this event can be found with a previous story from Hometown Daily News and Ozarks First.
Sunday will also mark the 72nd Annual Adoration Parade through Downtown Branson. Activities will start with the lighting of the Adoration Scene on top Mount Branson around 5:30 with the Parade to follow going north down Branson Landing Blvd. then coming back south on Commercial Street. Coverage of the Adoration Parade can be heard on Legends 1063 KRZK.
