Harrison Falls in 5A Football Semi-finals

by: Scott McCaulley

The Harrison Goblins had found a way all year to come up big in clutch situations getting big plays late in several of their 11 wins during the 2020 Football Season. However, Little Rock Christian didn’t give the Goblins an opportunity to pull their late game magic by pulling away in the second half to win their 5A State Semi-final match-up 52-28 at F.S. Garrison Stadium Friday night.

The Goblins put forth a good effort in the first half and trailed only by 10 points at halftime. But LRC scored on all but two of their possessions in the second half while holding the Goblins to two second half touchdowns to move on to the 5A State Championship Game next weekend in Little Rock.

Harrison finishes the 2020 season with an 11-2 record which included the Goblins fourth straight 5A West Championship.
