H.S. Basketball Tournaments in Lakes Region

Two annual High School Basketball Tournaments are underway in the Lakes Region:

Forsyth Boys Tournament
The 60th Annual Forsyth Tournament opened up Monday night with top seeded Ava holding off Blue Eye 59-52 while second seeded Strafford knocked off Carl Junction 68-48.

Action continues tonight with the host and third seeded Panthers playing Carl Junction at 6:00 followed by Hollister taking on Reeds Spring in the match-up of the fourth and fifth seeds at 7:30.

Coverage of the Forsyth Tournament this week will include tonight’s Hollister-Reeds Spring match-up to air on http://perryphillipssports.com with Friday’s match-up between the winner of that game against Ava along with the Friday game between Forsyth and Strafford to air on Legends 1063 KRZK. Coverage of yet to be determined Final Round Games on Saturday will air on Classic Hits 981FM/AM 1220 KCAX.

Blue Eye Girls Tournament
Opening games of the Annual Blue Eye Tournament on Monday featured host and top seed Blue Eye defeating the Glendale JV Team 79-36 while Forsyth defeated Reeds Spring in the other opening game 69-30.

Tonight’s other opening round games will feature second seed Glendale against Exeter at 6:00 while third seeded Hartville will take on Spokane at 7:30.

The Tournament will conclude with Consolation and Winners Semi-Finals on Thursday with Final Round Games scheduled on Friday.
