Football Playoffs Begin in Arkansas, District Champions Crowned in Missouri

Last Friday saw the beginning of Postseason High School Football in Arkansas while the first phase of Postseason play wrapped-up in Missouri.

The Harrison Goblins, as the Regular Season Champions of 5A West, got a first round bye and now know they will host Camden-Fairview at F.S. Garrison Stadium this Friday. Camden knocked off Beebe 58-14 in their opening round game last Friday. Meanwhile, the Mountain Home Bombers return to the playoffs was a successful one as they edged Pine Bluff 24-20 in their opening round game to advance to this Friday’s second round at Greenwood.

In Missouri, schools from Southwest Missouri that were crowned as District Champions included Marionville and Thayer in Class 1, Lamar and Mtn. View/Liberty in Class 2, Buffalo and Cassville in Class 3, West Plains in Class 4, along with Lebanon and  Webb City in Class 5. All the winners move to the State Quarterfinals this coming weekend
