Emergency Personnel in the Lakes Region handled traffic accidents late last week into the weekend.

Traffic had to be re-routed around F Highway after a Dump Truck accident blocked the road near McKenna Farms Friday afternoon. Western Taney County Fire Protection District responded to the scene and on a post on their Facebook Page report no one was injured though traffic had to use alternate routes to get to their destinations for nearly two hours before the scene.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol worked a pair of traffic accidents over the weekend, both in Taney County.

A man from Kirbyville escaped with only minor injuries after his car overturned on Highway 76 at Madison Valley Saturday morning. The online crash report indicates the car traveled off the roadway striking a driveway embankment causing it to go airborne and overturned. The driver of the car, 31-year-old Joseph McCloud of Kirbyville, was taken to Cox Medical Center in Branson for treatment.

Another driver escaped with only minor injuries after her car overturned on Highway H north of Forsyth Sunday afternoon. Troopers report the crash occurred when the car driven by 17-year-old Alyssa Holmes of Springfield lost control of her vehicle on a turn, overcorrected, then ran off the roadway striking a tree before overturning. Holmes was taken to Cox South Hospital in Springfield for treatment of her injuries.
