AYS Podcast: Holiday Food Harvest Events Adjusts to COVID-19

by: Scott McCaulley

The latest edition of the “At Your Service” Podcast features a preview of this year’s Holiday Food Harvest with Janet Bezzerides of the Tri-Lakes Board of Realtors Community Outreach Committee.

For nearly three decades, KOMC/KRZK Radio has held a Food Drive the day before Thanksgiving collecting food for organizations in the Lakes Region along with support from the Tri-Lakes Board of Realtors for over 15 years. Due to COVID-19, this year’s event will move in a different direction according to Bezzerides.

The competition will wrap-up on Wednesday November 25 with a Radiothon to air on Legends 1063 and MY 100.1 on the annual day of the Food Harvest that will also highlight the needs of the charities benefitting from the Holiday Food Harvest, Christian Associates, Christian Action Ministries, and Salvation Army.

A web page will also go active the week of November 16 giving people the opportunity to donate directly to one of the charities and also feature other “At Your Service” Podcast Shows highlighting the organizations benefiting from the event.
