Minor Earthquake Shakes Eastern Boone County

The United States Geological Survey (USGS) reports a minor earthquake occurred early Thursday Morning in eastern Boone County.
The quake measured 2.3 on the Richter scale and was centered 2.7 miles southwest of Lead Hill or around,14.5 miles northeast of Harrison.

Four reports from residents in the area submitted online indicate minor shaking was felt in and around Lead Hill as well as near Diamond City and Peel. No damage has been reported from the quake.
