Two Area Runners Claim State Cross Country Titles

A pair of runners from the region claim Individual Titles at the Missouri State Championships which took place in Columbia over the last two days.

Blue Eye’s Riley Arnold claimed her third straight State Championship Saturday claiming the Class 1 Individual Title and helping the Lady Bulldogs to a sixth place Team Finish.

On the Boys Side, the Bulldogs finished just behind Calvary Lutheran in the Team Competition with Blue Eye’s Ryan Cardenzana finishing fourth overall.

Spokane’s Sam Shuman claimed the Boys Class 2 Title leading the Owls to a fifth place finish in the team competition. Teammate Grant Stewart finished in fifth place.

Other Area Top 10 Individual Finishers include Madison King of Spokane (9th Class 2 Girls), Kaci Singer of Aurora (9th Class 3 Girls) helping her team to a fourth place team finish.
