“United We Stand” Tree Aglow

Amid carols and conviviality, a large crowd witnessed the countdown and lighting of the Branson community “United We Stand” Christmas Tree Wednesday evening.  Located near the Branson Ferris Wheel, the 40 foot tree is adorned with ornaments from all 50 states.  The base of the tree is encircled by the words peace, hope, joy and love.

Pete Herschend, a visionary of Ozark Mountain Christmas over 30 years ago, was on hand to congratulate the Branson Christmas Coalition and area businesses who are teaming together for another outstanding year of tree displays around the community.

Mike Patrick served as emcee for the lighting ceremony and New South from Grand Country entertained with holiday music.

In addition to the tree, holiday guests at the Branson Ferris Wheel can enjoy hourly performances of “Christmas Electrify,” a light and music display featuring the dazzling computerized LED lights on the 150 foot Ferris wheel.
