The State House seat that covers 2/3 of Taney County as well as all of Douglas and Ozark Counties will stay in Republican hands for the next two years.
Republican Travis Smith gained nearly 85% of the vote in winning the season over Democratic Challenger Mike Lind 15,282-2736.
Smith will take over the seat from fellow Republican Karla Eslinger, who served one term before running successful for a State Senate Seat.
