Lakes Area Residents Injured in Traffic Crashes

The Missouri State Highway Patrol works a pair of accidents involving Lakes Area Residents on Thursday.

A woman from Branson is injured in a traffic crash in Nixa Thursday morning around 11:30. The online crash report indicates a SUV driven by 23-year-old Santana Escamilla ran into a pick-up truck stopped at a traffic signal on Highway 160. Escamilla sustained moderate injuries and was taken for treatment to Cox South Hospital in Springfield.

A woman from Rockaway Beach escapes with only minor injuries after her car overturns on Highway 160 east of Forsyth. The online report says the crash occurred around 2:20 Thursday afternoon when a pick-up truck driven by 77-year-old Harriet Leenerts slid off the roadway and overturned. Leenerts was taken to Cox Medical Center in Branson for treatment of her injuries.
