Blue Eye Claims Volleyball District, Branson and Reeds Spring Play for Titles Tonight

High School Volleyball District Action involving Lakes Area Schools sees one team claim a District Title and two other playing in Championship Matches tonight.

Blue Eye claims a Class 1 District Championship in Chadwick Tuesday evening as the second seeded Lady Bulldogs upend top seed New Covenant in three straight games to claim the Championship. Earlier in the evening, Blue Eye outlasted Billings in four games while New Covenant took out Galena in the semi-finals. The District Title is the second for Blue Eye in the last three years.

Two Lakes Area Schools will be in District Title Matches tonight with the Branson Lady Pirates hosting McDonald County in the area Class 4 District Final this evening at 6:00. The Pirates knocked off Monett in Monday’s semi-finals while McDonald County defeated Neosho in the other semi.

Reeds Spring knocks off Forsyth while host Springfield Catholic defeats Hollister in the Class 3 District semi-finals Monday night to set up a title match between the two schools this evening at 6:30.
