Cross-Country Conference Meets Held

Nixa was the site for a pair of Cross Country Conference Meets this week.

On Monday, the Big 8 Conference Meet took place with with Lamar outpointing East Newton to take the Boys Title while those two schools tied for second in the Girls Competition behind champions Rogersville. Hollister and Reeds Spring finished seventh and ninth in the Boys Team competition respectively with two Lakes Area Runners finishing in the Top 20, Jaxon Thomas of Hollister 15th and Evan Brandsma of Reeds Spring 17th.

On Tuesday, the Central Ozark Conference held their Boys and Girls Meet with close finishes in both team races with Webb City edging Carthage on the Boys Side and Joplin doing the same to Nixa in the Girls competition. Branson finished fourth in the Boys and seventh in the Girls Team Competitions.  Two Branson Runners finished in the top 20 with Tristen Bough taking 16th in the Boys Race and Piper Fogelquist 18th in the Girls Race.
