Firefighters from the Western Taney County Fire Protection District fighting a structure and brush fire south of Hollister late Saturday night into early Sunday morning.
According to a post from the District’s Facebook Page, a house in the 800 block of Freeman Lane was fully involved when Firefighters arrived as well as some of the surrounding property. The report indicated the building had been vacant for some time but there was a boat, car, and outbuilding nearby plus other neighboring houses that were threatened by the fire. Firefighters had to bring in water from the nearby Ozarks Technical Community College Campus to battle the main blaze plus a secondary fire that developed by the brush fire jumping across Freeman Lane.
There were no injuries reported in the fighting of the fire with help at the scene provided by the WTCFPD Support Team as well as Taney County Ambulance.
