The 2020 Hollister TIgers have become used to close games as seven of their eight games have been decided by one score or less. Friday night, after losing three straight close games, the Tigers rallied to win one.
After building a 12-0 lead at Mount Vernon only to see the home team take the lead late in the fourth quarter, the Tigers get a touchdown pass from Layton Morgan to Tyler Goeble in the final seconds to rally for the 20-13 win to raise the Tigers record to 3-5.
In other action, the Branson Pirates fall to 3-5 with a 45-24 loss at Joplin thanks to the over 250 yards rushing by Eagles Running Back Nathan Glades. Quarterback Tristan Pierce rushed to two Branson Touchdowns in the loss.
The Reeds Spring Wolves rallied but still fell two points short as they were edged by Aurora 22-20.
The Forsyth Panthers set a school record for wins grabbing victory number five with a 49-0 shutout win at Pleasant Hope.
In Arkansas, the Harrison Goblins roll to a 48-16 home win over Vilonia. Cole Keylon threw for 349 and rushed for 166 yards in leading the Goblins to the win.
