The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning for all of the Missouri Lakes Region for this afternoon.
The Statement from the weather service indicate conditions conducive to a rapid spread of Wild Land Fires will evolve today. Wind Gusts could exceed 30 MPH at times while Relative Humidity falls below 30%. Also, drought conditions have dried tall grass and created dry fuels within some of the Ozarks Forest Land.
Last week, the latest Drought Report from the weather service indicated several areas of Southwest Missouri, including parts of Barry and Stone Counties, were in Severe Drought Conditions.
