The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers says a landowner along Bull Creek is complying with authorities to restore the creek bank and get a bridge rebuilt in an area where three people have drowned since 2019.
Ozarks First reported earlier this week that the Corps sent a letter of non-compliance to landowner Steve Johnson which included a list of violation found on the property when it was inspected last week
According to a follow-up report from Ozarks First Thursday, Johnson is working with the Missouri Department of Conservation to restore the creek bed, after which time he can continue to repair the bridge.
Johnson and the contractor on the original bridge are facing a pair of Wrongful Death Lawsuits filed by two of the families who lost family members at that location.
